DESCRIPTION
The library is the leading structural subdivision of IUCA, which provides the educational process of the university with bibliographic and informational teaching materials in different languages.
It is an open table of ideas to which everyone who wants access to literature for study or for intellectual enrichment is welcome. Our collection includes books of various genres: scholarly research papers, journalistic materials, and teaching aids in the form of print editions, electronic textbooks, and handouts.
Our library has a subscription to JSTOR and is a member of the Kirlibnet Association of Digital Libraries of the Kyrgyz Republic. The catalog can be accessed remotely to order literature on website lib.iuca.kg.
Textbooks are purchased according to syllabi each semester by request of faculty and students.
The most valuable items in our library are the literature donated by our dear students, alumni, sponsors, faculty and guests of the university. We express our appreciation and gratitude to James Hung, BHF Yraiym, Gerald Priest, S. Alamanov, U.K. Sarbanov, N.P. Zadorozhnaya, T.A. Kolesnikova, Zh. M. Ryskulova, ICCA alumni Sh. Ibragimova - LNG-116 and K. Enns - IR-114, and the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society.
The IUCA Library is a cultural and information center for students, faculty, and staff. They have 5,556 textbooks, 1,950 handouts and 1,500 electronic textbooks at their disposal. In 2020, as part of the EGEA project, the university purchased interesting and high-quality literature for more than 6,000 €.
