INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
2018
Malika Kartanbaeva
My name is Malika, and I graduated from the «International Relations» program at «IUCA» in 2018. My studies laid a strong foundation for both my professional and academic path. The program helped me develop analytical thinking, research skills, and a keen interest in issues of identity, peacebuilding, and regional dynamics in Central Asia.
I am currently completing my master’s degree at the American University of Central Asia in the «Central Asian Studies» program. My research focuses on civic identity and interethnic relations in the region. I have participated in academic conferences in Kyrgyzstan, as well as regional and international events, including presenting my research in Washington, D.C.
Alongside my studies, I work in the field of dialogue and external relations, organizing meetings and fostering cooperation between government institutions and civil society on topics such as interfaith dialogue, and the role of women and youth in social transformation.
The »International Relations» program at IUCA gave me a solid theoretical foundation, confidence in public speaking, and a deep understanding of the regional context — skills I apply daily in my professional work.
To prospective students, I would advise being active, participating in conferences, developing language skills, and using the university as a platform for growth. International Relations is not just about theory; it is also about taking responsibility and contributing to the development of society.

LINGUISTICS. CHINESE LANGUAGE
2022
Anyvarova Aliza
My name is Aliza. I am a graduate of AUCA, group CHN-118. I would like to share a choice that truly changed my life.
Studying in the Linguistics (Chinese Language) program gave me not only a strong foundation in the language, but also helped me genuinely fall in love with Chinese culture. Thanks to the knowledge I gained at the university, I was able to enroll in a master’s program in Tomsk, Russia, work at the Taiwan Foundation, and I am now continuing my studies in China through language courses.
During my studies, I not only learned the language but also developed skills in translation, clear and effective communication, working with texts, public speaking, and understanding people from another culture. We had strong instructors, including native speakers, which helped us immerse ourselves more deeply in the language environment. In addition, language internships and exchange programs gave me valuable real-life experience communicating with native speakers.
P.S. Alongside Chinese, we also studied English, which turned out to be a huge advantage!
If you want to learn Chinese, understand the culture from the inside, and grow as a person, I highly recommend this program.

Versaviia Gura
Studying at IUCA helped me to gain profound knowledge of teaching methodology and to master my academic skills. To start with, the academic staff includes professional and dedicated teachers who guided me in my learning pathway.
The IUCA faculty consists of educators who use innovative and critical approaches to teach IUCA students. In addition, a specialized and well-structured university program provides a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the subject area and encourages student motivation. Furthermore, a dynamic classroom environment and different extracurricular activities helped me develop my language and academic skills.
I participated in different university contests and for a year, I was the Vice-President of the Student Senate «Event Management» at IUCA. Therefore, I obtained the relevant education and qualifications required for my desired career in the future.
After graduating from the IUCA, I got a full scholarship to study for a master's degree in teaching at the American University of Central Asia. My strong teaching background and high language skills helped me successfully graduate from the AUCA and achieve academic excellence there.
Importantly, I am a Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program 2022 alumna. I passed the professional development course for educators at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in the USA. I worked for 4 years in the private Bilimkana Kara-Balta School where I was in charge of the English language department. Currently, I work online for OSUN Hubs Connected Learning Initiatives. I am an English instructor teaching Academic English courses for Bangladesh and African students.
To conclude, I strongly believe that studying at the International University of Central Asia helped me to become a professional English teacher and accomplish my career goals.

Lejer Chonte
How to become a commercial director of a large trading company from a teenager who lives in a small and poor village? It is possible if you are a graduate of IUCA.
When I was 17 years old, I could not have imagined that coming to IUCA would give me the opportunity to see half of the world, to work in the best companies in different countries, to get acquainted with a variety of people, to study their culture and life.
After graduating from IUCA I had a huge baggage of knowledge, which was not just information in my head, it was a really necessary set of skills for survival, competitiveness, growth and achieving any goals in the modern world. Critical thinking, communication skills, honesty, respect, different language learning techniques, psychology, business and financial management, IT knowledge - these were the skills that allowed me to push the boundaries of my abilities and views.
Thanks to IUCA I was able to visit 14 countries, lived in Taiwan (one of the most technologically developed countries) for 10 years, and grew up to the head of a whole department in one of the leading industrial companies of this country.
Now I live in the UAE, work as a commercial director of a large trading company in the heavy industry and all the knowledge I gained at IUCA still helps me to grow and achieve my goals.
