MA PROGRAM IN PEDAGOGY

PROGRAM MISSION

Our mission is to prepare a new generation of teacher-leaders capable of transforming education in rural schools of Kyrgyzstan through innovative pedagogical practices and developing critical thinking in students.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

A unique Master's program developed by IUCA in partnership with the "Zamanbap Mugalim - Teach for Kyrgyzstan" foundation, a member of the international Teach for All network uniting over 60 countries. The program is built on the principle of dual learning: you simultaneously work as a teacher in a public school and study, immediately applying the acquired knowledge in practice in real classrooms of rural schools in Chuy region. The training includes an intensive 4-week Summer Institute, two years of work as a "jaratman" (fellow), classes in hybrid format, workshops and training sessions, regular coaching sessions, and feedback from curators…

PROGRAM GOALS

Goal 1: Training highly qualified specialists for educational organizations of various types, possessing universal and professional competencies in accordance with State Educational Standards, programs and teaching technologies.

Goal 2: Development of research competencies and leadership in implementing effective educational innovations.

Goal 3. Stimulating continuous social-personal and professional development based on reflection of pedagogical activity.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The graduate designs, implements and improves learning design, takes into account challenges and new requirements for the educational environment when forming subject and key competencies of students.

The graduate demonstrates productivity, ability to manage the educational process and transform pedagogical activity into learning outcomes based on scientific research.

The graduate creates a safe and motivating educational environment with a focus on student development and achieving expected outcomes.

The graduate engages in pedagogical reflection, defines pedagogical tasks, recognizes responsibility for decisions made for further personal and professional growth.

The graduate exerts a sustainable impact on the adoption of pedagogical innovations by students, colleagues, and parents, making them the norm in school.

The graduate develops and mobilizes internal and external resources to enhance interaction between school and community.
