INNOVATION DEPARTMENT

TEAM

DESCRIPTION

The Innovation Department helps IUCA staff, faculty, and students navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence and educational technology. We serve as the university's hub for discovering, testing, and adopting innovations that make teaching more effective and learning more meaningful.

What we do:

  • Training & capacity building. We deliver hands-on training sessions during orientation weeks and throughout the academic year — on request from any department — helping faculty and staff confidently integrate AI tools into their work and teaching practice.

  • Research & insights. We monitor global EdTech trends and publish regular reports on AI in education, translating emerging developments into practical guidance for the IUCA community.

  • Technology partnerships. We partner with QuantaQuiz (AI-powered test creation, grading, and personalized tutoring) and AlmaLearning.AI (a platform for building AI teaching assistants) to bring cutting-edge tools into IUCA classrooms.

  • Pilot & scale. We test new technologies in real classroom settings, measure their impact, and help scale what works — always designing for our multilingual, resource-conscious environment.

  • Master's program support. We support the implementation of IUCA's Master's program in Pedagogy, ensuring its curriculum stays at the forefront of educational innovation.

  • LMS development. We support the development of IUCA's in-house Learning Management System My.IUCA — from architecture planning and feature design to faculty training and ongoing support, in collaboration with the IT Department.

Our goal:

To ensure IUCA and its community are not just prepared for the age of AI — but thriving in it. If you have any questions, please mail us ninenko_i@iuca.kg
