Study Visit of IUCA International Relations Students to the UN House in Bishkek

On April 23, 2025, students of the International Relations program at IUCA visited the UN House in Bishkek as part of practice-oriented learning.

During the visit, students were introduced to the mandates and key areas of activity of UN agencies operating in the Kyrgyz Republic, including UNICEF, UNDP, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and UNFPA. Particular attention was given to sustainable development, the protection of children’s rights, support for vulnerable groups, migration processes, and demographic policy.

Representatives of the agencies presented ongoing programs, mechanisms of cooperation with state institutions and international partners, and professional and internship opportunities within the UN system.

The visit contributed to deeper knowledge of multilateral diplomacy, a practical understanding of international organizations, and the development of professional competencies in international cooperation and global governance.
