IUCA students participated in the regional rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition
From February 5 to 8, 2026, the regional rounds of the prestigious Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition were held in Tashkent.
The Philip C. Jessup Competition has been conducted since 1959 and is the world’s largest and most well-known student moot court competition in international law, simulating proceedings before the International Court of Justice of the United Nations.
Today, the Jessup Competition brings together approximately 2,000 students from more than 600 law schools in over 90 countries and jurisdictions worldwide. The best teams earn the right to represent their countries at the International Rounds, held annually in March–April in Washington, D.C. (USA).
The team of the International University of Central Asia (MUCA) was represented by law students:
Adelya Kurmanalieva
Akhan Okenov
Amina Khoshanlo
Participation in such a prestigious competition is an important stage in the professional development of future lawyers and contributes to the enhancement of legal research, written advocacy, and oral pleading skills in the field of international law.
We congratulate the team on their strong performance and wish them continued success in the field of international law.
