5/29/26
Jeyran Mamedova, a student of the International Relations program at the International University of Central Asia (IUCA), participated in the International Model of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), held on May 29–31, 2026, at the K. Dikambaev Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The SCO Model is a diplomatic simulation that provides students with an opportunity to gain practical insight into the mechanisms of multilateral diplomacy, the functioning of international organizations, and international decision-making processes. As part of the program, delegates were assigned to committees and participated in four working sessions.
Participation in the Model enabled Jeyran to apply the knowledge gained through her International Relations studies and further develop her skills in diplomatic communication, argumentation, negotiation, and teamwork.
The program concluded with a final session, an awards ceremony for delegates, and the official closing ceremony of the diplomatic simulation.
Participation of IUCA students in such initiatives contributes to the development of practical professional competencies of future international relations specialists and creates additional opportunities for academic and youth engagement.
