IUCA Master's Students Represented Kyrgyzstan's Experience at International Education Summit in Mumbai
Jaratmans from the "Zamanbap Mugalim" program participated in Kids Education Revolution — a global platform for reimagining the school of the future
The "Zamanbap Mugalim" program participated for the first time in the international Kids Education Revolution summit in Mumbai, India. At the summit, students and teachers from different countries jointly reimagine the role of schools and student leadership in contemporary education. Teach for Kyrgyzstan was represented by English teachers and Jaratmans Kursantova Aigerim and Sultangazykyzy Zhenishkul. They study in IUCA's master's program "Pedagogical Activity in Times of Change." They were joined by their students Medina and Albina from the small villages of Kum-Aryk and Oktyabrskoye, and Mukambetkalieva Malika from the program team.
Kids Education Revolution is a bold movement of students and educators. Together they create safe spaces for children's voices, work in true partnership, and unlock the potential within every child. The summit is an initiative of Teach For India. This organization is part of the international Teach For All network to which Teach for Kyrgyzstan also belongs. Participants from eight countries exchanged practices in student leadership. They discussed new learning formats and sought answers to the question: how to make schools spaces of opportunity for every child?
Thanks to support from the Creative Industries Park, Jaratmans became part of a global educational dialogue. Here educators and students discuss the future of education as equals. This participation is particularly significant. It demonstrates how IUCA's master's program approach resonates with international trends in education. IUCA's program centers on unlocking every child's potential and developing student leadership.
For students from small villages in Chui Oblast, participation in the international summit became a unique opportunity. They presented the experience of Kyrgyzstan's rural schools on a global platform. They entered into dialogue with peers from other countries. Additionally, the girls significantly improved their English language skills through immersion in an English-speaking environment. The summit experience will become the foundation for new student initiatives. It will generate creative projects and new learning formats in regional schools of Kyrgyzstan where Jaratmans work.
Participation in Kids Education Revolution confirms an important fact. IUCA master's students not only master pedagogical methods at the university and apply them in rural schools. They become part of a global educational community. This community brings the world's best practices into the Kyrgyzstan context. Creatorship begins at school. Every new opportunity like this summit unlocks the potential of both students and teachers. It teaches them to act and create their future today.
