From March 26 to 28, 2026, Bishkek hosted the international student research conference "Zhoogazyn." The event took place at two of the country's leading universities — Jusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University and Kyrgyz-Turkish University "Manas." More than 70 students from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan took part in the conference. The International University of Central Asia was represented by second-year Master's student in Pedagogy Toktоbekova Aigerim Omurbekovna. She defended her research paper on developing students' communicative competencies through journalism, with a focus on environmental issues — based on a 7th-grade case study. The expert panel, comprising representatives from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, awarded Aigerim second place. Toktоbekova Aigerim is a Jaratman of the "Zamanbap Mugalim" — Teach for Kyrgyzstan program. She is enrolled in the IUCA Master's program "Pedagogical Activity in Times of Change," which trains teacher-leaders for schools across Kyrgyzstan. Her academic supervisor is Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Asekova Zhyldyz Duishebаevna, Head of the Bachelor's Pedagogy Track at IUCA.

This achievement at an international conference confirms the research potential of Jaratmans and the academic standard that the IUCA Master's program delivers. The program consistently combines scholarly rigor with practical orientation, enabling students to conduct research projects directly connected to the realities of Kyrgyzstan's schools.
