On October 22, 2025, the International University of Central Asia (IUCA) hosted a student scientific conference in the format of a round table titled “International Integration of the Kyrgyz Republic and the UN System.” The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations and the UN Day celebrated annually on October 24. 

The event aimed to discuss the role of the United Nations in maintaining international peace and security, promoting sustainable development, protecting human rights, and strengthening international cooperation. During the round table, students examined the significance of the Kyrgyz Republic’s participation in the UN and the role of international cooperation in the country’s integration into global and regional processes.

Participants also discussed key areas of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the UN system, including peace initiatives, the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, the promotion of gender equality, the protection of human rights, and issues of climate and environmental security. Particular attention was given to the role of youth in promoting the values and principles of the United Nations.

The program included student poster presentations, research reports, thematic quizzes, and case-study discussions. As a result of the conference, the best student research papers will be prepared together with academic supervisors and published in the university’s annual research collections.
