On November 5, 2026, the International Relations Program at the International University of Central Asia (IUCA) hosted an online guest lecture by Dr. George P. Koon Jr., an international expert in security, political analysis, and international law.
Dr. Koon has over 20 years of professional experience in international relations, international law, political analysis, and security studies. He previously served as a Senior Political Advisor and Analyst for the U.S. Department of Defense and NATO in Afghanistan and contributed to judicial reform and international criminal justice projects in Liberia and Iraq.
The session provided students with an opportunity to explore practical aspects of international security, geopolitics, and conflict resolution through the professional experience of an international expert.
The lecture was conducted in an interactive format, encouraging students to participate in discussions and ask questions.
Such academic engagements contribute to students' analytical thinking, broaden their professional perspectives, and strengthen IUCA's international academic cooperation.
