Students of the International Relations program at IUCA organized an Arabic Day aimed at deepening their understanding of the language, culture, and traditions of the Arab world.

As part of the event, the students prepared Maqluba, a traditional Arab dish. An Arab family was invited to guide the cooking process and introduce students to the distinctive features of Arab cuisine. They shared their experience and helped participants explore cultural traditions in an informal and interactive environment.

Students of the International Relations program study Arabic as their third foreign language. However, their learning experience is not limited to classroom lessons. Activities such as Arabic Day allow students to explore the language through culture, traditions, communication, and shared practical experiences.

For future professionals in international relations, learning a foreign language within its cultural context is particularly important. It contributes not only to the development of language skills but also to intercultural competence, a deeper understanding of different societies, and the ability to communicate effectively with representatives of diverse cultures.

Arabic Day demonstrated IUCA’s practice-oriented approach to language education, combining classroom learning with intercultural communication and direct exposure to the traditions of the Arab world.
