DESCRIPTION
IUCA Psychological Service
In order to maintain a comfortable psychological climate and to identify problems in a timely manner and resolve them most effectively, the university has a psychological service. It operates in accordance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards of psychological assistance aimed at preserving and strengthening the psychological health of students and university staff.
The tasks of the psychological service:
conducting psychological support sessions for students in order to gain a deeper understanding of their problems and find more effective solutions;
providing psychological assistance to students and employees of IUCA on issues related to emotional state, adaptation, interpersonal relationships, and personal development;
providing psychological support to IUCA students during periods of increased academic workload (exams, adaptation periods, graduation stages);
advising teachers on adjusting teaching and assessment methods in accordance with the individual characteristics of students;
informing management about the psychological climate, based on the principle of confidentiality of information, with the aim of preventing maladaptive states;
assisting in adaptation to a new team at the beginning of the academic year and in building interpersonal relationships among students;
preventing emotional burnout, stress, anxiety, and psycho-emotional tension in the university's educational environment;
raising the level of psychological culture, awareness, and responsibility for one's own mental health among students and employees of IUCA;
organizing and conducting group trainings and preventive measures aimed at developing stress resistance, self-regulation skills, and emotional intelligence.
