Republican Student Competition "Mock Court Proceedings on Constitutional Adjudication"
11/15/25
The Law program of IUCA, in cooperation with the Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic and KSLA, held the first large-scale national competition “Mock Court Proceedings on Constitutional Adjudication.” The event took place on November 15, 2025, at IUCA in the city of Tokmok.
Seven teams from six leading universities of the country took part in the competition, demonstrating a high level of preparation and strong interest in developing practical legal skills.
The competition was held in two stages ⚖️: a written round, during which the teams submitted memoranda for both parties to the dispute, followed by three oral rounds designed to closely simulate real constitutional court proceedings.
The participants’ performances were evaluated by a jury consisting of sitting judges of the Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of the Higher School of Justice under the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Bar, the notary system, and the public foundation “Civics.”
