Students of School Where IUCA Master's Students Teach Premiered Their Film at Ala-Too Cinema
Short film "Aitmatovdun Duinөsү" created as part of CREATE4 project for World Creativity Day
Students of Chym-Korgon School named after A. Kazakbaev, where Jaratmans of the "Zamanbap Mugalim" program and IUCA master's students teach, produced their first short film "Aitmatovdun Duinөsү" (Aitmatov's World). The film was created during creativity week as part of the CREATE4 project, timed to celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day. This achievement became a vivid example of how pedagogical approaches mastered by students of the master's program "Pedagogical Activity in Times of Change" translate into real educational outcomes.
On April 20, 2025, the film premiered on the big screen of the legendary Ala-Too cinema in Bishkek. The screening brought together representatives of the educational community, parents, and the young filmmakers themselves, for many of whom this was their first experience of publicly presenting their creative project. Creating the film required students to master numerous skills, including screenwriting, directing, camera work, and acting, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to developing creative competencies.
The project's success became possible thanks to the daily work of Jaratmans of the "Zamanbap Mugalim" program, who help children believe in themselves and unlock their potential through engagement in meaningful creative projects. IUCA master's students apply pedagogical methods studied at the university in practice, creating an educational environment in their classrooms where ideas, imagination, and courage to be oneself are valued. This approach fully aligns with the understanding that the path to the creative economy begins precisely in the school classroom, where the foundations of innovative thinking and entrepreneurial competencies are laid.
The "Pedagogical Activity in Times of Change" program continues accepting students ready to become agents of educational change in Kyrgyzstan's regions. Candidates can submit applications through teachforkyrgyzstan.org and join the community of innovative educators who daily create conditions for unlocking the creative potential of rural schoolchildren. https://www.instagram.com/p/DJOiPezoKME/
