IUCA Opened Summer Institute for Second Cohort of Master's Students in "Pedagogical Activity in Times of Change" Program
Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov participated in the opening ceremony
On July 1, 2025, the official opening of the Summer Institute of the Teach for Kyrgyzstan – Zamanbap Mugalim program took place, an educational initiative implemented by the International University of Central Asia in partnership with Teach for Kyrgyzstan organization. The Summer Institute represents an intensive preparatory session for new master's students of the "Pedagogical Activity in Times of Change" program before beginning their teaching activities in regional schools.
This year, IUCA launched its second cohort of Jaratmans, admitting to the master's program motivated specialists from various professional fields ready to work in schools across Kyrgyzstan's regions and make practical contributions to education development. The launch of the second cohort confirms the success of the program's first year of implementation and growing recognition of its significance for transforming the regional educational system.
The official opening ceremony took place in the conference hall of the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic with participation of Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov. Representatives of government agencies and partners from the business community emphasized the strategic importance of investments in human capital and the necessity of comprehensive support for regional education. The high level of government participation in the opening ceremony demonstrates recognition of IUCA's program as a significant instrument of the country's educational policy.
Participants of the second cohort will complete two years of teaching practice in regional schools while simultaneously studying in IUCA's master's program "Pedagogical Activity in Times of Change." This format allows Jaratmans to combine theoretical academic preparation with direct pedagogical practice, developing competencies necessary for effective teaching and educational leadership amid constant changes in contemporary schools. The Summer Institute provides intensive preparation in key pedagogical methods, classroom management, and skill development that master's students will begin applying from their first days of work in schools.
